Perhaps you love driving your motorcycle along scenic byways and through forested parkways. But when you go camping, you don’t have a way to transport your ride unless you bring along a second driver or purchase a motorhome that can tow a trailer. However, you have another option.
Let’s learn more about why you should consider the XLR toy haulers!
What Is the XLR Toy Hauler?
The XLR line of toy haulers includes the XLR Boost, XLR Micro Boost, XLR Hyperlite, and XLR Nitro. All of these models allow their owners to take outdoor toys with them.
Whether you bring a golf cart, dirt bike, bicycle, or ATV, the garage in the rear of these toy haulers provides the needed space to haul extra equipment.
Forest River, the maker of the XLR line, calls this “action camping.”
Who Makes the XLR Toy Hauler?
Forest River has been in the RV industry since 1996. Peter Liegl wanted to help people enjoy the outdoors and set out to build a company committed to better recreational vehicles.
Over the years, the company has grown exponentially and expanded its production line. It includes Class A, B, and C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-up tent campers, and truck campers.
Additionally, the company manufactures park model trailers, destination trailers, cargo trailers, commercial vehicles, buses, pontoons, and mobile restroom trailers.

All five floorplans have slide-outs to increase the living space and a rear garage. The front bedroom features a queen bed with wardrobe storage.
The bathroom sits next to the bedroom in all models except the 3212 where it lies in between the garage and kitchen. The 3412 model features a side patio in addition to the rear patio.

Is XLR a Good Toy Hauler?
Forest River is a well-known brand in the RV industry that has been in business for decades. Even though they produce a lot of RVs, consumers can rest assured that each unit goes through quality inspections before reaching a dealership.
However, you may find that the level of craftsmanship and quality differs among the XLR toy haulers. Because of the lower price, the XLR Micro Boost won’t have the high-quality residential finishes that you’ll find in the XLR Nitro. But all of the models work great depending on your camping needs.
