About Tiffin Motorhome
The Tiffin Group began in 1972 when Bob Tiffin purchased an RV company that was calling it quits. He was fascinated by RVs and wanted to explore this new concept.
Focusing on luxury class A motorhomes, Tiffin became one of the best-known brands in the RV industry. In 2005, Bob’s sons joined the family business, looking to carry on the family tradition of making high-quality RVs.
Tiffin Motorhomes also includes Vanleigh RV, a brand that produces high-end fifth wheels. When you buy an RV within the Tiffin family, you know you are getting top of the line. The company prides itself on its quality over quantity attitude, and it shows.
Tiffin manufactures their RVs in Alabama and Mississippi. They make several different drivable RVs from the Class A Phaeton to the Class C Wayfarer and the Class B Cahaba. They produce luxurious, quality motorhomes.
Who Owns Tiffin Motorhomes?
In December 2020, Thor Industries acquired the Tiffin Group. This is the most recent addition to the Thor Industries family of brands. Before this acquisition, Tiffin operated independently for almost 50 years.
Even with the purchase, Tiffin is still a family-run business, with Bob Tiffin’s sons Tim, Van, and Lex now carrying on the family legacy.
About Thor Industries
Thor Industries began in 1980 with the purchase of Airstream. Today, they own 17 North American RV brands, including Jayco, Keystone, and 14 other companies like Togo and Roadtrippers.
Their latest acquisition, Airxcel, occurred in September 2021. Thor Industries continues to push innovation.
