If there’s a place that RVers love to visit, Buc-ee’s is likely at the top of the list. This is one gas station most RVers can’t pass without stopping.

The gas station chain has developed a somewhat cult-like following among the RV community. We recently saw a post in a large online community of RVers sharing the best things to try at Buc-ee’s.

We’ve sorted through the suggestions and created a list of the best things you should try on your next trip to Buc-ee’s. Let’s take a look!

What Is Buc-ee’s?

Buc-ee’s is more than just a beaver-loving gas station. This travel center is a mixture of a Cracker Barrel gift shop and the best truck stop you’ve ever visited. This Texas-based travel center offers everything travelers need to get them back on the road.

It has first-class bathrooms and often over 100 gas pumps, and you can easily spend a small fortune on snacks and other food items. Don’t be in a hurry if you visit one of their locations. You’ll have plenty to see and experience when you walk through its doors.

While the locations were once only found in the Lone Star state, they’ve undergone a massive expansion in recent years. You can find Buc-ee’s in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

However, the company doesn’t appear to slow down its expansion projects and has several new locations in the works.

Buc-ee’s has experienced tremendous success because they go above and beyond in customer service. It offers some of the highest quality snacks, foods, and customer service out of any gas station.

Because Buc-ee’s aren’t available everywhere, it has earned a certain novelty from visiting them. When you see signs promoting a location 100+ miles away, it often causes curiosity to get the best out of travelers.

They may naturally start counting down the miles until they reach the location to stop and see what all the fuss is about.

However, while their curiosity might initially bring them there, the first-class customer experience has them returning.

Some people have such a great time at each location that they can’t help but share pictures on social media and encourage others to experience it for themselves.

Does Buc-ee’s Allow Overnight Parking?

While Buc-ee’s may be a popular spot for RVers to stop during their travels, none of their locations allow overnight parking. This is such a common question that Buc-ee’s answers it on the FAQ section of its website.

The company responded, “In our efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for all of our customers, we cannot accommodate vehicles for an extended amount of time in our lots.”

So while they may have plenty of parking and room to maneuver a large camper, you can’t park for the night. They want to ensure everyone has a fantastic and safe experience. As a result, you’ll need to find somewhere else if you plan to park overnight.

First-Time Buc-ee’s Visitor Requests What They Have to Try

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk through the doors of a Buc-ee’s is that there’s no shortage of options for snacks and other food items. Many first-time visitors to Buc-ee’s find that they spend much more money than they typically would at a gas station.

If you want to get a lot of comments, just ask a large group of RVers what items they should try at Buc-ee’s. Because many people feel passionate about the gas station, you’ll likely get plenty of responses.

Luckily, some products consistently get recommended by travelers because they’re simply just that good.

7 Things RVers Love from Buc-ee’s

We’ve compiled those responses and created a list of seven things RVers love about Buc-ee’s. Try experiencing these seven things during your visit. Let’s dive in!

1. Restrooms

It’s incredibly rare to hear people boasting about a gas station’s bathrooms.

However, Buc-ee’s has earned a reputation for not only having Texas-sized bathrooms but also keeping them incredibly clean. Because the facilities are so large, there’s typically only a line during meal times.

On Facebook, commenter George Simpson said, “The bathrooms…cleanest gas stations bathrooms of all time. Like 5,000 urinals to choose from.” Michelle Lock Newton agreed with him and said, “The bathrooms were amazing!”

When you walk into their restrooms, it’s easy to understand why people love Buc-ee’s. You don’t have to worry about a sketchy bathroom experience when you answer nature’s call. Their bathrooms give luxury hotel bathrooms a run for their money.
