How Much Are RV Parks in the Keys? 

A campsite in a tropical paradise doesn’t come cheap. Florida Keys RV parks will cost you over $100 per night, on average. Fees can be close to $200 per night from January to March, the peak season.

However, you can stay at state park campgrounds for around $50 per night after applying fees. In addition, some RV parks offer weekly, monthly, and seasonal discounted rates.

The Best RV Parks in the Florida Keys

1. Grassy Key RV Park & Resort

Address: 58671 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050

Grassy Key RV Park & Resort is a small, quaint park with waterfront lots. It offers a beach, pool, and boat dock. There is also a clubhouse, WiFi, and activities. Each RV site is big rig friendly and equipped with 30 and 50 amp electricity, water, sewer, and cable.

2. Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina

Address: 38801 Overseas Hwy, Big Pine Key, FL 33043

Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina is an Encore Park, so if you have a Thousand Trails Membership, it’s part of the Trails Collection package. You can book it with or without the membership.

The RV resort has full hookup sites with some waterfront and marina options. You can also rent a boat slip here. In addition, there is a pool, beach, family-friendly activities, kayak, boat rentals, and a pier to watch the fantastic sunsets.

3. Key Palms RV Resort

Key Palms RV Resort has a gorgeous heated pool and hot tub overlooking the Florida Bay. It has waterfront pull-in RV sites, pull-through options, and backup sites.

The RV lots have full hookups, patios, and cable. The RV resort also has a dog park, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry, showers, and a private marina.

4. Jolly Roger RV Resort

Address: 59275 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050

Jolly Roger RV Resort is a popular family-friendly Florida Keys RV park. You’ll find a large, heated pool and a relaxing, sandy beach here. There is also a dog park, laundry room, bathrooms with showers, boat ramp and dock, and a fish cleaning station. The RV sites have full hookups, free cable, and WiFi. 

5. Bahia Honda State Park RV Campground

Address: 36850 Overseas Hwy, Big Pine Key, FL 33043

Bahia Honda State Park RV Campground offers a beautiful setting amid turquoise waters on the ocean side of the Keys. You’ll gain access to the state park’s beaches and marina when you stay here. There are some waterfront sites, and all areas have water and electricity but no sewer hookups.

6. Key West KOA Holiday

Address: 251 State Road 939, Fl 20, Summerland Key, FL 33042

Like many Florida Keys RV parks, Key West KOA Holiday had to rebuild after Hurricane Irma. Now, it’s an entirely new campground, and the features glow.

The KOA has a pool with a poolside pub, Kamp K9 for dogs, and a fully stocked marina store. RV sites are full hookup, and there are pull-thru and back-in options. In addition, there are some waterfront sites.

7. Coconut Cay RV Park & Marina

Address: 7200 Aviation Blvd, Marathon, FL 33050

Coconut Cay RV Park and Marina is a boutique family-operated resort that sits halfway between Key Largo and Key West. It offers a pool, bath and shower house, dog walk, a boat launch and dock, laundry facilities, bike and kayak rental, and a beach. There are 25 pull-in RV sites with full hookups.

8. Bluewater Key RV Resort

Address: 2950 Overseas Hwy, Key West, FL 33040

Bluewater Key RV Resort is a luxury experience with a heated pool and private tiki huts. The resort also has a people park, a dog park, clubhouse, laundry facility, showers and restrooms, high-speed WiFi, a storage facility, and a community dock.

RV sites have full hookups, cable, curbside trash and recycling pickup. Canal and bayfront lots have private boat docks.

9. Geiger Key Marina & RV Park

Address: 5 Geiger Rd, Key West, FL 33040

Geiger Key Marina and RV Park are secluded in Key West. It has some waterfront sites, boat slips, laundry, and showers. Campsites have full hookups and a tiki hut. The RV park is small, but it has kayak rentals and a restaurant on-site, so you don’t need to go far for entertainment and food.

Leave your RV at one of the many RV parks in Florida Keys and walk along the beach and palm trees.

10. Leo’s Campground & RV Park

Address: 5264 Suncrest Rd, Key West, FL 33040

Leo’s Campground and RV Park offer full hookup, back-in gravel sites. The campground has WiFi, tiki huts, a dog park, and laundry facilities. It also has water access to launch dinghies, kayaks, and paddleboards. 

Can You Camp On the Side Of the Road in the Keys?

While it would be a dream to camp on the side of the road in the Florida Keys, it is not allowed. It would make traffic a nightmare in the Keys if RVs were allowed to camp alongside the road since only one highway connects all islands. In addition, there are not many pull-offs on the road that will accommodate anything larger than a camper van.
