Battle Born Batteries is a brand of lithium-ion batteries with its headquarters in Reno, Nev. When it comes to high-performance energy storage solutions, it doesn’t get much better than Battle Born Batteries.

Denis Phares and Sean Nichols founded the company in 2013 and officially opened it publicly in 2014. They set to work in Denis’ garage to find the best possible way to make lithium-ion batteries. They went on to win competitions and gain recognition for being one of the best in the industry.

What Does It Mean for a Company to Become a Public Company?

When a company becomes public, it offers its shares for purchase through an initial public offering (IPO). This means that the company’s ownership gets divided among shareholders. Becoming a public company is often a significant milestone in a company’s growth and development.

It gives the company access to a much larger pool of capital than it would have had as a private company. Companies can use the funds for expansion efforts and other important growth initiatives.

Another benefit is that it can give a company visibility and credibility in its respective market. This can help attract customers, partners, and employees.

About Dragonfly Energy Going Public

In October 2022, Dragonfly Energy shared the news that the company had gone public and would trade under the ticker “DFLI.” While going public was a big event, customers can expect the same great experience from the company going forward.

Dr. Denis Phares, the company’s CEO, said, “We are excited to begin the next chapter of Dragonfly’s story. Becoming a public company is an important and exciting step forward for us.”

He shared, “The proceeds from this transaction and our relationships with key partners bring us closer to making safe, affordable energy storage a reality by facilitating the development and large-scale deployment of our All-Solid-State-Battery technology while also helping us grow our existing core business.”

Phares and the rest of the team see selling stock in Battle Born Batteries as a giant step forward. Their goal has always been to make safe and affordable batteries for consumers. We’re excited to see how they leverage this step to help them continue to innovate and create.
