Who Owns Americas Mailbox?

Donald and Barbara Humes started Americas Mailbox in 2007. They spent several years traveling and have enjoyed the lifestyle for nearly two decades. Donald and Barbara took their knowledge from traveling to research the most affordable and convenient location for travelers to establish their legal domicile.

The couple fell in love with the South Dakota county of Pennington. They knew the location close to Mt. Rushmore, Badlands National Park, and Custer State Park made the area a hotbed for RV travelers. They purchased a piece of land right off I-90 and began to grow their business.

How Does It Work?

First, you’ll need to select a plan and register with Americas Mailbox. The staff at Americas Mailbox can help you choose which option best suits your needs.

Once you register, you’ll receive an official address that you can use when sending and receiving mail. Some plans allow you to use your Americas Mailbox address to become a resident of South Dakota. Their representatives will handle all the logistics of sorting and storing your mail.

To receive your mail, you’ll need to let them know when and where to send it. You can have it sent to a friend’s house, a campground, or even use general delivery from the USPS (United States Parcel Service). If you’re staying put, you can have your mail sent to you automatically.

Americas Mailbox can also digitally scan mail and upload it to an online mailbox for you to check anywhere. This can help you avoid missing mail that requires action on your part, such as an important letter from the IRS or a jury summons.

The Platinum ($229.99/year) or Titanium Plus ($228.99/year) are the best options for people running small businesses or those who want unlimited scanning of the front of every envelope and package they receive.
