    One edge that Ford has over the competition is they offer a lap and shoulder belt in the front middle seat. We tried to find a Ford for this reason. We ended up with a RAM (2500 as we full time in a travel trailer) but had to retro-fit a harness for our 9 year old son. I know a lot of big families seek out a 6 passenger truck, but Ford seems to be the safest of the group because of this
