Keystone RV began in 1996 and became number two on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies in 2000. The company was purchased for $145 million by Thor Industries in 2001.

Thor Industries has acquired quite a few brands over the last 40 years since its early beginnings in 1980.

In 1980, Wade Thompson and Peter Orthwein bought Airstream and began Thor Industries. Since then, the company has purchased dozens of additional brands to make Thor Industries one of the world’s largest RV manufacturers. The two latest acquisitions included Tiffin in 2020 and Airxcel in 2021.
