The mountains are calling at Thousand Trails Leavenworth; more commonly known as Leavenworth RV Campground in central Washington. Lying in the midst of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, this resort is a tranquil mountain getaway in the Thousand Trails Pacific Northwest region.

In other words, campers escape the fast-paced ‘city life’ and head here to recharge and relax, where 300 acres of lush meadows and commanding views overwhelm the senses.

Thousand Trails Leavenworth

Located on the eastern edge of the Cascade Mountain Range in north-central Washington, Thousand Trails Leavenworth is easily accessible from WA Highway 207, traveling east from Lake Wenatchee.

The Bavarian town of Leavenworth is 30 minutes south of the campground, with the larger city of Wenatchee just an hour southeast.

Address:  20752 Chiwawa Loop Rd, Leavenworth, WA 98826

Leavenworth RV Campground is open year-round, offering a wide variety of seasonal activities. However, they turn off the water to all but 2 shower houses in the winter, so rigs should be self-contained during that time. Although, they do have a water fill-up located at Osprey Lodge if you need it.

Sites

With a total number of 279 campsites available, virtually every type of camper can be accommodated. In other words, Thousand Trails Leavenworth is set up in separate loops, catering to various rig sizes.

64 full hook-up sites, as well as water and electric sites, are located throughout Timberview and Meadowview Loops. These sections can handle larger RVs.

On the other hand, Lakeview Loop is designated for smaller rigs and tent campers, where several campsites with water and electricity are scattered, along with some dry sites.

Six shower houses and restrooms are strategically placed around the campground, and guests with no motorhome or trailer will find lodging in several cabins on site. In addition, there is even a tiny home alpine village, with five rentals available.

Set in the forest, with the mountains as your playground, you will definitely find your ‘inner Heidi’ after spending one night in these quaint German replicas!
