About Jayco
Jayco was founded by Lloyd Bontrager in 1968. What started as a pop-up camper manufacturer has become a massive empire producing motorhomes, travel trailers, toy haulers, and fifth wheels. Over the past 50 years, they’ve become a trusted name in the RV community.
The company had a big year in 2016. They manufactured their 1,000,000th RV and were acquired by powerhouse Thor Industries partway through the year.
However, they continue creating quality campers to help owners make memories with their loved ones.
About the Jayco Seneca
The Jayco Seneca has a beefy diesel engine and sits atop a Freightliner chassis. This creates a solid and durable vehicle.
If you want to haul a car or trailer, it has the necessary power to do the job. This makes it easier to explore without worrying about packing up camp or driving a bulky camper everywhere.
Floorplans vary significantly and can sleep anywhere from six to nine people. However, no matter which floor plan you choose, it will be built with high-quality materials and stylish furnishings. In addition, it bears the Jayco name, which many have come to trust for decades.
One of our favorite characteristics of the Jayco Seneca is its exterior. The full-body paint jobs are stunning. You’ll turn a few heads when you pull into a campground or drive down the highway.
It helps to create the same luxury look and feel on the outside that you enjoy on the inside.
Where Is the Jayco Seneca Made?
Jayco Manufactures the Seneca in Middlebury, Indiana. They and many other RV manufacturers have their headquarters throughout the region.
This allows them to save time and money, as many of the largest suppliers in the industry sit just down the road. They can avoid shipping delays on components and parts by being as close as possible to the RV capital of the world.

The Jayco Seneca Lineup
A few different floor plans make up the Jayco Seneca lineup. Let’s look at each model and see which one fits your needs.
Seneca 37K
MSRP: $332,693
Sleeps: Six
Length: 39 feet 4 inches
Weight: 31,000 pounds
Features: The Jayco Seneca 37K provides less sleeping space but makes up for it with other components. This is the only model in the Seneca lineup with a half bathroom.
This provides a great opportunity to host overnight guests or entertain others. They can use the restroom without having to walk through your private bedroom. This model works great for couples who want to hit the road and embark on a cross-country adventure.
Seneca 37L
MSRP: $336,000
Sleeps: Nine
Length: 39 feet 4 inches
Weight: 31,000 pounds
Features: The 37L utilizes its size a lot differently than other models. That’s because it includes mid-bunks on the passenger side. This addition increases the sleeping space to nine, which makes this floor plan an excellent option for larger families.
It has plenty of sleeping space for everyone. However, the additional bunk space takes away some room space, and you’ll have to settle for a single bathroom. While it may not be easy, it’s certainly possible to make it work.

Seneca 37M
MSRP: $339,300
Sleeps: Eight
Length: 39 feet 4 inches
Weight: 31,000 pounds
Features: The Jayco Seneca 37M focuses on seating instead of sleeping space. It pushes the kitchen area back towards the middle and includes a jack knife sofa at the front.
This allows for plenty of seating space for everyone to sit comfortably. This works great for those rainy days when you have to stay indoors. Instead of gathering around the campfire, you can sit in the open space and enjoy each other’s company.
The only critique we have of this floor plan is the lack of counter space. This can make preparing meals and doing dishes difficult. However, this is a minor issue compared to the long list of things we love about this rig.
Should You Buy a Jayco Seneca?
The Jayco Seneca is an excellent rig in terms of performance and quality of construction.
Unfortunately, it comes with a price tag of well over $300,000. So while this may put it out of reach for some travelers, it’s worth every penny in the long run. If we were in the market for a Super C, one of these floorplans would be a strong contender for us.
