Today, we’ll help you wash your stress and worries away by getting your license to chill at Camp Margaritaville.

Let’s dive in!

What Is Camp Margaritaville?

Camp Margaritaville is a line of luxury RV parks and one of the newest additions to the “Margaritaville” brand. The brand has an extensive portfolio of restaurants, hotels, resorts, and other travel industry establishments. Like the other brand offerings, Camp Margaritaville kicks it up a notch when serving its customers.

This RV park offers everything guests might need to enjoy a luxurious stay in their RV. These big-rig-friendly resorts make it easy to get in and start chilling at your campsite with little trouble.

Additionally, they’re kid and pet friendly. So don’t be afraid to come with your two-legged and four-legged kids.

The first Camp Margaritaville opened in the spring of 2019. While it currently only offers a handful of locations, the company looks to expand quickly. Jim Wiseman, the President of Development at Camp Margaritaville, described the expansion to Insider as a “happy accident.”

The brand positioned itself perfectly to expand into the RV segment right as the industry experienced a massive increase in demand due to the events of 2020.

As a result, they were able to generate a tremendous amount of revenue and expedite their expansion. Their goal is to have 30 to 50 nationwide locations in the next five years.

Is Camp Margaritaville Owned by Jimmy Buffett?

The Camp Margaritaville brand falls under Jimmy Buffett’s mega-hospitality brand, Margaritaville. However, the locations are independently owned but licensed under the larger brand.

They follow the relaxed, island-style atmosphere popularized by Buffett’s 1977 song, “Margaritaville. They embrace a carefree lifestyle with infinite palm trees and bottomless drinks.

The resorts and other businesses associated with the brand are popular with those looking to escape the daily grind. These “Parrotheads” enjoy the relaxed “It’s Five O’Clock” somewhere atmosphere the brand and its locations provide.

How Many Camp Margaritavilles Are There?

Camp Margaritaville has four locations, but they’re expanding rapidly. You can find a camp in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Buford, Georgia; Auburndale, Florida; and Crystal Beach, Texas. However, locations in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, will open in the future.

Camp Margaritaville has some massive expansion plans. Jim Wiseman mentioned in an interview with Insider that the brand aims to open 30 to 50 locations in a five-year period.

Instead of starting from scratch, they’re strategically selecting to bring new life to campgrounds that have seen better days. This allows them to quickly and efficiently expand their brand.

How Much Does It Cost to Camp at Camp Margaritaville?

Unfortunately, if you want to stay at Camp Margaritaville, don’t expect it to be cheap. Depending on the location and time of year, sites typically range from $80 to $200 per night.

However, you’ll pay for far more than a campsite. These resorts offer many amenities, and just about every camper will find something to enjoy.

If you likely won’t feel bored at these RV resorts. Camp Margaritaville offers something for everyone. You can expect a pool, playground, pickleball courts, and a lazy river.

Additionally, each resort maintains an extensive calendar of activities and entertainment, from crafts to live music. Locations with water access offer boating, waterfront dining, and cruises. Seriously, you’ll have so much to see and do that you may have to extend your stay to experience all of it.

Convenient Locations

When you look at the locations of these resorts, it’s easy to see why they were chosen. The Florida location is less than an hour from Walt Disney World and hundreds of other popular Central Florida tourist activities.

While the other destinations may not be near the giant mouse and his many friends, they’re near popular tourist destinations with plenty to offer guests.

Family-Friendly Atmosphere

While some RV resorts are less family-friendly, this isn’t one of them. These resorts celebrate families and offer something for all ages to enjoy during their stay. Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, you can enjoy the many activities and welcoming environment.

Kids can have fun burning off energy on the playgrounds, and all ages will get competitive on the Pickleball courts. Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts do an incredible job at helping everyone feel welcome and a part of the community.

Pet-Friendly

Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts don’t overlook your four-legged friends either. Their “Barkaritaville” dog parks offer a place for the furry members of your family to play.

However, as you might expect, these aren’t just ordinary dog parks. They feature various play areas and a dog washing station. While we can’t guarantee that your dog will love getting a bath, we’re sure they’ll have fun playing with the other campground pups.

Social Atmosphere

One of the best things about RVing is the community it provides. Camp Margaritaville RV Resorts recognize this and provide multiple fire pits in a central area.

This is a great opportunity for friends and family to gather around and make memories or new friendships.

Combine the glow of a crackling fire and the sounds of live music, and you’ll have the perfect social atmosphere.

However, one of our favorite pieces of the social atmosphere is the happy hour. For some people, making new friends gets easier when it’s always five o’clock.
