    Rather than spend money on a solar ‘system’ in my rv, I purchased several Bluetti solar chargers. First, I purchased the Bluetti EB240 and then the Bluetti AC200. Additionally, I purchased 5 BougeRV 170 panels at $138 each when they were on sale. This provides a simple system that is very versatile as I can use the energy in my remote farm home, or in my pickup camper or in my class A diesel pusher. The five panels recharge the large Bluettis in 5-6 hours depending on the sun.
    I enjoy your youtube videos and look forward to seeing more of them.

  2. Thanks for this blog/email entry! It reminded me that it is time for me to get back to designing our solar/gen/battery/charger/inverter/converter setup.

    Not sure if I can swing a 600 Amp-Hr system, as I am limited on storage/hidden utility space and frankly on weight. Our Salem FSX 260RTX is advertised as 5000-5100 dry weight, and it is our toy hauler. MOSTLY, we are going to only be carrying bicycles, but some day we plan to add an electric cart for shooting sporting clays, and that will need to consume a lot of our available load capacity. And our kitchen is all on one side of the TT?TH, so I have to consider side-to-side weight and balance too.

    Anyway…. Choosing Battleborn is sort of like the old days when it was said, “No one ever got fired for spec’ing IBM hardware.” Same here… no one will generally contest that Battleborn rules the roost for RV setups. Although, I do have a good working relationship with Bioenno (Use them for large LiFePO4 batts for off-grid, legal-limit amateur radio). But they don’t (won’t likely ever) offer a 10 year warranty on their 100Amp-Hr units.
